Synergy Piping is a fabrication partner for mechanical contractors, facility teams, and project groups that need added pipe fabrication capacity or specialized piping support. We provide shop-built pipe spools, carbon and stainless fabrication, specialty alloy welding, sanitary and process piping, machining, modular skid assembly, field installation support, prefabrication planning, and pipe coupon production for training and qualification programs.

We typically work with mechanical contractors, industrial facility teams, training centers, and project groups that need reliable piping support beyond their current in-house capacity. We are especially useful on large projects, tight schedules, specialty materials, data-center or power-generation work, comfort-cooling and HVAC piping, sanitary/process piping, or fabrication packages that need organized documentation.

Our role is to assist the team that brought us in, not go around them.

Synergy Piping is based in Walford, Iowa, near Cedar Rapids. We serve contractors and facility teams throughout Eastern Iowa and can discuss regional field support depending on the project scope.

For shop-fabricated assemblies, pipe coupons, and other deliverable work, we can also coordinate shipping when the project makes sense outside the immediate service area.

We work with carbon steel, stainless steel 304/304L and 316/316L, chrome-moly, duplex stainless, titanium, nickel alloys such as Hastelloy and Inconel, copper-nickel, and other specialty materials when the project requirements and qualifications are clear. Each material has its own welding, purge, heat-input, filler-metal, cleanliness, and documentation requirements, so we review the scope before committing to a process or schedule.

We handle pipe sizes from small-bore tubing (1/4″ and up) through large-diameter pipe, typically up to 24″ diameter, though larger sizes can be accommodated depending on the specific application and project requirements. Our equipment is sized for the work most contractors need, and when exceptionally large or heavy components are involved, we can discuss logistics and whether subcontracting certain operations makes sense.

Synergy Piping is not a replacement for an engineer of record, but we can support contractors and facility teams with practical fabrication input, field coordination, and constructability conversations. If your project already has drawings, specifications, or an engineering direction, we can help work through the piping details and identify where our fabrication, machining, or welding support fits.

Yes. When documentation is required, we can maintain material traceability from receiving through fabrication and delivery. Records may include MTRs, heat numbers, receiving documentation, weld maps, material identification, inspection reports, pressure test records, and other turnover items required by the project specification.

Tell us the documentation expectations early so the records are organized as the work moves through the shop.

We provide visual inspection on fabricated work and can perform or coordinate additional weld testing when the project requires it.

Depending on the scope, that may include PT, MT, RT, UT, pressure testing, third-party inspection coordination, or documentation packages. We keep the inspection approach tied to the actual project requirements.

Our quality process is built around the project requirements. Depending on the scope, that may include qualified welding procedures, welder qualification records, fit-up checks, dimensional verification, purge control, visual weld inspection, NDE coordination, hydrostatic or pneumatic testing, material traceability, and final turnover documentation.

The goal is simple: build the work correctly, keep the records clear, and catch issues before they become field problems.
